Introduction
The Seventh Asia-Pacific Conference on Computer Human Interaction (APCHI 2006) to be held at the Grand Hotel, Taipei ,Taiwan from October 11 to 14, 2006. The APCHI series, which can be traced to Singapore (1996, 2000), Australia (1997), Japan (1998), China (2002) and New Zealand (2004) has established a solid tradition of providing a major forum for the scholars and practitioners in the Asia Pacific region on the latest developments in CHI.

Pervasive use of digital systems nowadays has fundamentally changed the way people communicate globally and locally. To address the contemporary challenge in delicately blending digital globalization and localization, APCHI 2006 sets “Glocal Interactions: Shaping a New Lifestyle” as the conference theme.
