WELCOME to Singapore Ergonomics!

The Singapore Ergonomics Forums is a public discussion board and, while we encourage a free flow of information and ideas on the forums, we also ask that you follow a few basic rules. By using or participating on the Singapore Ergonomics Forums, you agree to the following information.

These are the same guidelines the Singapore Ergonomics moderators use to review posts. Posts found to be in violation of any of the below will be deleted without notiecd. The poster may be warned about the misappropriate posting. If the same user is found to be in violation after being warned, that user's Singapore Ergonomics account may be permanently deleted.

We reserve the right to edit/delete posts/threads/signatures at our discretion. Any post/thread/signature that we deem inappropriate for viewing will be dealt with accordingly. If you have any questions about actions taken against a post/thread/signature please PM the appropriate forum's Moderator(s).

# 1) SEARCH FUNCTION
Use the search function before posting. Your questions may have been previously asked and answered.

# 2) HARASSMENT and FLAMING
Members are not permitted to harass or "flame" other members. Please do not post or transmit any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, profane, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable material of any kind. Please note that this also includes the posting of taunts on a forum solely for the purpose of deriding that forum and/or members.

# 3) COPYRIGHTED or TRADEMARKED MATERIALS
It is illegal to post any content that is copyrighted or trademarked, unless you hold the copyright or trademark. Any material protected by copyright may not be posted in the message boards without the expressed permission of the author or owner of the copyright on that material. This includes reproducing the full text of news stories, articles, etc. It is acceptable to provide a link to copyrighted material, to post brief excerpts, or to paraphrase other works, though we do strongly encourage you to cite the original source whenever possible.

# 4) ADVERTISEMENTS and SOLICITATIONS
Promos, ads, solicitations, referral links will be deleted without advance notice. If you join us just to advertise your website, not only will the post/s be removed, but your account will as well. Posts that are blatant advertisements, or someone popping through just to say "Look at my Site," will be deleted according to judgment rendered by the Moderators and Admins. Likewise, abuse of our PM system to either Spam or Solicit Members will be dealt with swiftly.

# 5) INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE
The official language is English. Refrain from the use of sms-language, short forms expressions in your posts. If you must use non-English words, add a note explaining their meaning. The use of inappropriate or offensive language is not permitted in these forums. Inappropriate or offensive language includes, but is not limited to, any language or content that is sexually oriented, sexually suggestive or abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, profane, hateful, or that contains racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable material of any kind. We ask that you please be considerate to other members in the boards when posting your messages.

# 6) ABOUT MODERATORS
Do not post messages attacking the moderators or administrators. All of the moderators on this discussion board are volunteers. They provide their time and their good judgment to this website free of charge. They do not make the rules; they only enforce the rules. They do not deserve to have scorn heaped upon them either publicly or privately.

# 7) TOPICS OF DISCUSSION
Do not send questions pertaining to topics of discussion on this board via personal messages or emails to Moderators or Admins. All queries are answered in the forums and not answered by email, so that everyone can benefit from the replies and its content. Pease keep your posts focused on the topic of the forum in which you are posting your message. Each forum has a different topic, so what is appropriate in one forum or thread may not be appropriate in another. Use a title that describes the content of your post. Don't use all caps or special characters to draw attention.

# 8) SIGNATURE POLICY
Keep the size of signature down so to help us reduce our server's bandwidth usage.

- For text signatures: 4 lines normal size, 8 lines small size and up to 90 characters per line. Empty lines are counted. Font sizes above 2 are not allowed.

- For image signatures: 1 image up to 300 pixels (width) x 100 pixels (height) and 20k in size.

- For image AND texts signatures: 2 lines (normal size) or 4 lines (small size) AND 1 image up to 300 pixels (width) x 60 pixels (height) and 15k in size.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, this includes messages posted by Singapore Ergonomics Forum moderators, personnel, agents, representatives et al. Singapore Ergonomics reserves the right to reveal the identity of or whatever information we know about any user in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by said user. We shall have the right, but not the obligation, to correct any errors or omissions in any content, as it may determine in its sole discretion. We further reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to delete or remove any user content from the site and to deny the access of any member to all part of this site, at any time for any reason without prior notice or liability. Remember that posting on this forum (or any Internet forum, for that matter) is a privilege, NOT A RIGHT. Please treat it that way. If your posts are locked, edited or deleted due to one of the issues outlined above do not be offended or take it personally. Evaluate what you posted and think about why it might have been. If you have any questions as to why your post was locked or you lost posting rights, please feel free to e-mail any questions to singaporeergonomics@gmail.com

Lastly, every member is encouraged to help build the community and report all spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting or rude) posts by contacting the admin through the “report bad post” topic found in the bulletin forum (just post complaints, relevant parties and forum topic in the “report bad post” topic)
