It would be good if we could start a library for standards resources here. That is by looking at the post you could find weblinks or physical locations for national and international standards. I think that would save a lot of time when doing research so do contribute if you have any secret resources. flower

for NTU students:

access the BSI library from : http://www.ntu.edu.sg/lib/collections/db/alpha1.htm#B

or by going to the library website and follow the following steps
library=>digital resources=>database=>letter "B"=>BSI

the BSI can be downloaded for free when accessed through the NTU network. Certain European standards and International standards can also be found in the BSI database.

Others can access the standards via
http://www.bsonline.bsi-global.com/server/index.jsp but payment required to download standards

This website is very good for finding anthropometry data and biomechanics data. Very Good

Man-Systems Integration Standards

Introduction
The NASA-STD-3000 was created to provide a single, comprehensive document defining all generic requirements for space facilities and related equipment which directly interface with crewmembers.

This document provides specific user information to ensure proper integration of human-system interface requirements with those of other aerospace disciplines. Video images from relevant space missions are also provided to illustrate human factors design concerns.

Volume I - Man-Systems Integration Standards
This document contains human-systems integration design considerations, design requirements, and example design solutions for development of manned space systems. This is a NASA-level standards document which is applicable to all manned space programs and is not limited to any specific NASA, military, or commercial program. The areas of human factors that are covered by this document are described below:

Section Title
1 Introduction
2 General Requirements
3 Anthropometry and Biomechanics
4 Human Performance Capabilities
5 Natural and Induced Environments
6 Crew Safety
7 Health Management
8 Architecture
9 Workstations
10 Activity Centers
11 Hardware and Equipment
12 Design for Maintainability
13 Facility Management
14 Extravehicular Activity

Volume II - Appendices to view background information relating to the standards.
